Terms of Service

These terms set out the basis on which we sell to you through ceramelle.in. They apply when you browse the site and when you place an order. If anything here is unclear, we are glad to explain it. Write to hello@ceramelle.in.

We may change these terms from time to time. The version published when you place an order is the one that governs that order, so a later change never applies backwards to something you have already bought.

The information you give us

Please check that the details you give us are accurate and complete, particularly the delivery address, phone number and email address. We rely on them to make and deliver your piece, and a parcel sent to a mistyped address is difficult to recover, so it is worth a second look before you pay.

Your order number is what lets someone view that order, so it is best kept to yourself.

Orders, prices and payment

An order placed on the site is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm the order by email, not when payment is taken.

All prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes. Delivery is charged separately and is shown in full before you pay.

Occasionally we may need to decline or cancel an order: if a piece cannot be made, if a price or description was clearly wrong, or if a payment does not look genuine. If that happens after you have paid, you are refunded in full, and we will tell you why.

Made-to-order pieces

Every piece is cut and finished by hand after you order it, which takes 25–30 business days. Because nothing is made in advance, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, fit or colour preference. Photographs are taken as faithfully as we can manage, but screens differ and cotton varies from one dye lot to the next. Small differences in shade and finish are not defects.

The site itself

We take care to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every detail on it is current. Where something is plainly wrong, whether a price, a description or a delivery estimate, we will correct it, and it does not bind us.

What belongs to us

The photographs, text, designs, patterns and layout on this site belong to Ceramelle and are protected by copyright and other rights. Please ask us before reproducing or republishing any of it, or using it commercially. We are usually happy to say yes.

We also ask that our name and marks are not used in a way that suggests we endorse or are associated with something we are not.

Using the site properly

The site is for browsing and buying. It is not to be used in any way that breaks Indian law, to interfere with how it works or with anyone else's use of it, to reach parts of it that are not public, or to copy its content in bulk by automated means. We may limit access where we believe on reasonable grounds that any of this is happening.

Links to other sites

The site links out to services we rely on, among them our payment provider, couriers and social platforms. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, which apply to you when you use them. We are not responsible for their content or their conduct.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law, and nothing in them excludes our liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Beyond that, our responsibility is limited to losses that were a foreseeable result of us not keeping to these terms, and for any order it is limited to what you paid for it.

Things outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, among them strikes, courier and postal disruption, customs action, extreme weather, fire, epidemic, war, civil unrest, and failures of public or private telecommunications networks. Where such an event affects your order we will tell you and, if the delay becomes unreasonable, you may cancel and be refunded for anything not delivered.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
